POW Women in the News Laurna Godwin, President of Vector Communications, 2004 POW African-American Women of Distinction(WOD) award winner and our 2005 WOD moderator is featured on the cover of the St. Louis Woman magazine - May 2005 issue. Click the link for a terrific article and a must read! POW Member Darcella Craven was interviewed for the June 2005 issue of Sauce magazine by POW Vice President Pamela Raymond. The article details Darcella's personal remedies for hair care using common household food products. Sauce Magazine is a free publication and is the highest circulated monthly publication in St. Louis. POW Founding member Kimberly Charles was nominated by POW Vice President and writer for Alive magazine, Pamela Raymond, to be featured in the May 2005 issue of Alive magazine. You will find Kimberly on page 71 in a feature titled St. Louis Fittest Moms. Kimberly's photo is absolutely gorgeous.You will also find an article by Pamela on Yoga on page 63. POW member Lakesha Brown was selected to receive the 2005 Emerging Leader Award given by the eWomen Network Organization. The award is given to recognize young women in their 20s who demonstrate the success traits and leadership capabilities of the future and who are in the process of launching their careers. She will travel to Dallas in July to receive her award at the National Conference. Congratulations to Lakesha. POW member and 2004-2005 President Zundra Bryant, was recently featured in the VisionOps Newsletter which is a newsmagazine featuring articles for Project Managers. Shortly after her feature, she successfully passed and received her Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Congratulations to Zundra. |
