Pearls for a Cause” is a Tiffany & Co. program designed to generate awareness and financial support for community and civic organizations.  Tiffany & Co. is proud to support the Professional Organization of Women and the proceeds from this event will help fund three key POW initiatives:

·        Community Connection: Each year POW selects a community service organization that primarily serves the African American women community and customizes specific personal and professional development programming to supplement the educational components offered through the particular community program.  POW members help these organizations through volunteering time, expertise, and energy to help fulfill the mission of the organization.

·        Scholarship: Giving back to the community is a cornerstone value of POW.  In our efforts to escalate our community giving, POW partnered with Frankie Muse Freeman (accomplished lawyer, civil rights activist, and author) and started the Frankie Muse Freeman Scholarship Fund in 2005.  The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial support for women in need as they pursue their educational endeavors.

·        Professional Development Curriculum: POW’ s professional development offerings builds leadership capacity by providing a comprehensive professional development program customized to help African-American women reach their highest potential.

During the event you will have the opportunity to enjoy Tiffany & Co. store and a presentation of it’s traveling fine jewelry collection.  A brief program will take place providing information about the Professional Organization of Women and the important role it plays in our community including a special tribute performed by a well known St. Louis artist (Cheryl Walker) and participants who purchase a “pearl” will be entered into a drawing to receive free Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
