Membership Committee

Develop, maintain and support a strong and participating membership (Professional and student). The major responsibilities include:

Provide new member information to Database chair and Secretary
  • Maintain the New Member Directory
  • Plan and implement the organization's membership drive
  • Conduct formal and informal surveys to determine the organization's success in meeting membership expectations
  • Work with committees to maintain a new member package and process that will assist participating new members to become active members quickly
  • Provide membership services at all organization events
  • Host quarterly new membership orientations
Database:
Purpose: Develop, maintain, and support a strong and effective database of all POW contacts.  The major responsibilities include:
Create and maintain data base inclusive but not limited to the following:
  • Corporate Contacts
  • Political Contacts
  • College Students
  • Culturally diverse organization
  • Event attendees
  • Community agencies and organizations
  • Volunteers
Submit a quarterly database list for all members to review to provide updates
Retreat
Purpose: an annual bonding event focused on a social context designed to foster POW members having an opportunity to get to know one another better. The major responsibilities include:
  • Plan and coordinate all logistics surrounding the retreat
  • Identify guest speakers and exercises
  • Manage the overall flow of the retreat
  • Conduct survey
