Consists of duties and task associated with internal and external communications and information sub-committees (Marketing & Public Relations, and Website). All sub-committees will report to chair(s) of Communications Committee.
Marketing & PR:
Purpose: To create an organizational branding strategy and program for selecting and satisfying target market with the objective of achieving long-run success. Is responsible for planning and executing the conception, promotion, and distribution of the organization/events to satisfy organizational objectives.
Public Relations:
Purpose: Provide regular and timely information about the organization to membership, media and community. The major responsibilities include:

- Oversee all internal and external communications
- Coordinate and maintain event press kit with Marketing chair.
- Develop organization brochure
- Select/develop event invitations
- Co-develop organizations event programs and flyers
- Provide marketing image to Website chair
- Develop and update newsletter
- Publicize organization events and meetings
- Maintain the organization calendar of events
- Select coverage of event and coordinate overall efforts
- Select advertising medium
- Flyers
- Newspaper
- Radio
- TV
- Develop and maintain media contact
- Follow up with selected advertisement/coordinate overall efforts
- Coordinate the organization's website with website committee
Website:
Purpose: Develop, maintain, and support a strong and effective website that effectively communicates the mission, objectives and events of the organization. The major responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain POW website
- Coordinate with committees to keep information current
- Create format for supplying information to be added to website
